Some of the most important developments in the textile industry don’t start in a laboratory or a boardroom. They start with a conversation.

That was exactly our experience at Techtextil this week, where we attended together with DBT Fibre. Surrounded by innovators, manufacturers, brands, and sustainability leaders from across the global textile sector, one thing became increasingly clear throughout the day: innovation only creates impact when it can work in practice.

From the first conversations at our stand to the final discussions before closing, the focus repeatedly returned to the same challenge, how do we bridge the gap between ambitious ideas and scalable implementation?

Across the industry, there is no shortage of innovation. New materials, technologies, and circular solutions continue to emerge at an impressive pace. But what truly determines success is the ability to ask the right questions early:
Can this solution integrate into existing production processes?
Can it scale realistically?
Can sustainability and commercial viability move forward together?

These were the conversations that defined our day at Techtextil.

Together with DBT Fibre, we explored how collaboration across the value chain is becoming increasingly essential. Pilot projects, in particular, stood out as more than simple tests or proof-of-concepts. They are often the beginning of long-term partnerships, opportunities to learn, adapt, and develop solutions that are not only innovative but also practical and commercially relevant.

What made the event especially valuable was the openness of the discussions. There was a shared understanding among many attendees that the future of the textile industry will depend not only on technological progress but also on cooperation, transparency, and the willingness to build solutions together.

Events like Techtextil remind us why face-to-face conversations still matter. They create the space where ideas are challenged, refined, and ultimately transformed into action.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us at Hall 12.1, Stand F34 and contributed to these inspiring discussions. The conversations started here will continue well beyond the exhibition floor and we look forward to what comes next.
